The Real Estate Investor’s Facebook Plan
Setting up a successful Facebook business profile can be done in just five easy steps. Let’s walk through them.
1. Set Up Your Account
The first step for your Facebook plan is setting up your business page. For more information on how to set up your page, see my previous article How To Create a Facebook Profile.
Be sure that your Facebook page is targeted to those interested in real estate investment. For example, be sure to do the following:
Complete the “about” and “company overview” sections with relevant information about your real estate investment business.
If you have any other homes on the web (i.e., website, blog, LinkedIn, Twitter) be sure to provide links to those web addresses.
Provide your location and the area(s) where you invest.
2. Invite Your Friends
The second step in your Facebook plan is expanding your online fan base. Start by inviting all of your real estate friends and private money prospects to “like” your page. The more people who “like” your page, the more new people your page will end up reaching. Why? If a reader “likes” or comments on one of your posts it will show up in their news feed. This way, their friends will be exposed to your page.
3. Provide Useful Information
After you’ve invited your friends to “like” your page, it’s time to start sharing content. Your content may include things like before/after pictures, exciting moments such as “just closed another deal!” and information on any community projects you’re working on.
