LinkedIn Profile For Your Business
LinkedIn is the professional’s social networking site. Unlike Facebook, your LinkedIn profile will be entirely focused on your professional skills and experience. So let’s take a look at three important steps for creating up your LinkedIn profile:
1. Professional Head Shot
It’s important to upload a photo of yourself for your LinkedIn profile. If you already have a professional photo, crop the picture and use it for your profile. If you don’t have such a picture, ask a friend to snap a professional-looking headshot to use on your profile.
Whatever picture you use, make sure you’re the only one in it and there is nothing distracting in the background.
2. Complete Your Profile
LinkedIn offers many places to display your knowledge, education, experience and professional objectives. Be sure you complete your profile as much as possible. It’s especially good to fill out the following fields:
Summary– Provide an overall summary of your real estate investment experience and education.
Put a lot of time and effort into this section. It’s at the top of your profile and one of the first things readers will see.
Use key words to optimize your searchability.
Don’t write in the third person. A bio copied from your about page doesn’t cut it.
Skills And Expertise – You can add up to 50 keywords related to your skills and expertise in this section. It’s important to fill this out because people will find your profile by searching for the keywords you’ve included here.
Recommendations – Once you have your profile all set up, you can ask for recommendations from your colleagues and investment business partners. With LinkedIn recommendations, the people who know you best can speak to your record and professional abilities.
